OCTOBER 2021 - Last year was the 5th Anniversary of artist Bradley Beard's incredible online marathon posting of his portraits of horror hosts from around the world. On the anniversary of his original project, he returned to the series. He created new versions of the host portraits and adding new hosts or hosts not yet introduced in the original series. Bradley originally appeared in BSOH issue #4. We thought it might be a good time to catch up with him to have another visit with this skilled and creative artist.

The Return of Bradley Beard

OCTOBER 4, 2020 - It was six years ago today that an ambitious project was announced. For 31 days leading up to Halloween, a new piece of art would be released daily. The project was so amazing, it was expanded to include Horror Hosts. What followed was not only great art but iconic images of the Horror Hosts that have lived on and have been used in many platforms on social media. The person behind this amazing art was Bradley Beard, who had become very instrumental in keeping the Horror Host genre alive, just as much as the Horror Hosts themselves. We'll catch up on what he has been doing lately and he might have an announcement or two, so tune in!

The Art of Famous Monsters

September 16, 2017 - His horror portraits inspired an entire generation of monster kids. Tonight we pay tribute to the most iconic horror artist who's ever lived. Basil Gogos' beautifully rendered covers on Famous Monsters of Filmland Magazine were both horrific and breathtaking. The pathos and life force that Gogos was able to breathe into his monstrous creations was beyond words. Basil was a kind and gentle man who touched anyone who ever had the privilege of meeting him. He will be dearly missed and the world of horror art will never be the same. We will share our memories of the man and his art and how he greatly affected our lives. We will be joined by artist Bradley Beard as we remember this legendary artist!
